Office Manager with Finance

Our client is involved in arable, woodland production and a livestock enterprise with cows and sheep.  It also owns residential properties for rental and a high-quality game shoot.

The Estate has multiple income streams and is actively developing more. All enterprises are expanding, and this position is a strategic part of the longer-term development of the Estate as a whole. 

They require a first-class Office Manager to join the existing friendly team and become a key player in the Estate’s future.  You must be flexible, adaptable and willing to grow with the business with an entrepreneurial outlook and a ‘can-do’ attitude. There is no need for a full understanding of the agricultural sector.

You will be responsible for managing all daily activities in the Estate office.

Key responsibilities include preparing management accounts, a good working knowledge of book keeping, payments and invoicing, VAT returns, payroll, pensions, HR, Health & Safety, liaising with our IT support and general Estate administration.  It is envisaged that imputing of data into key accounts will be provided by a part time employee.

 

Salary dependant on experience.

Legal Secretary

Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

Are you an experienced Conveyancer looking for a new challenge within a successful a long established local solicitors?

Reporting to the Head of Residential Conveyancing you will be responsible for managing a caseload of conveyancing cases to a high standard, managing the transactions pro-actively through to exchange and completion whilst ensuring excellent levels of client care.

The ability to handle transactional work is a must as is the ability to develop new and existing client relationships – The department is already well established and as such there is a requirement to develop existing relationships with clients and external sources such as Estate Agents whilst contributing towards the successful development of the department in line with the business plan.

To be considered for the role you will need to have between 2 – 5 years PQE and be either a Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive and currently working as a Conveyancer managing high caseloads, along with having a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

You will need experience of working with case management systems, excellent organisational skills with a confident and approachable manner.

You will also need to have good team working and collaborative skills, alongside the ability to forge and develop business relationships with an enthusiasm for networking and business development.

The Estate is in private ownership, with a strong balance sheet and pro-active, entrepreneurial owners who want to ensure the long-term financial future of the Estate within the rural economy.

We require a first-class Finance and Property Development Manager to join the existing friendly team and become a key player in the Estate’s future.  You must be flexible, adaptable and willing to grow with the business with an entrepreneurial outlook and a ‘can-do’ attitude. There is no need for a full understanding of the agricultural sector but more of a holistic asset management and business development background.

You will be responsible for managing all strategic property development matters from concept to completion, in the Estate office.

There will be an increasing workload and responsibility as the Estate enters a strategic stage in its future proofing with various building projects to be designed, tendered and built.  You may also be required to support the development of new rural activities, with your financial and property skills, some of which have already been identified and part funding obtained.
